That rock in the pic is a chunk of *crazy lace agate* (sometimes called lace agate). It’s a translucent grayish stone with intricate yellowish-brown banding and a distinctive “lace‑like” pattern of layered, wavy lines that give it a crazy, organic texture. The surface shows natural fracture planes and a rough, unpolished exterior with orange‑ish iron staining along the edges.

Dry Creek Treasures

In my spare time I like to rock hound and explore different places. I've found that the best place to do this is an old barely touched dried up creek bed. Just so happens there's one that runs near my home on the Alabama/Tennessee line. I spend a lot of time there looking around and digging up different things. Not only have I found some really cool rocks but the amount of fossils and Indian artifacts in dry Creek is unreal!!! Here you can see some of the things I've found. There are cool rock formations, rare minerals, geods, crystals, fossils galore!!! . If you happen to be interested in any of these awesome treasures you can locate my contact info on the main page and let me know before someone else snatches up what tickles your fancy.

Thanks for looking!!!
